This Leather 3-Ring Binder is truly a thing of beauty, superior in quality to anything else you will find. Put this binder in someone's hand, and they will be impressed even before they open it up and see what you put inside! If you simply appreciate fine quality, or if you want to make a great first impression, this is definitely the binder for you.
I use a variety of fine quality full grain leathers in my products, sourcing only the best quality materials available. This leather is a veg-tanned cowhide that I dye and finish by hand here in my shop. My process preserves the natural characteristics of the hide, allowing both the character and natural flaws to show through, much like staining wood does. Balancing perfection against wastefulness, I minimize imperfections as much as possible, placing them on the inside or back of my products when necessary. This leather is firm and durable, with a semi-gloss transparent finish.
The technique I use to make this binder produces a cover that is stiffer than a paperback book, but not quite as stiff as a hardcover. The ring binder itself is an easy open, heavy duty locking D-ring binder, the best quality available. You can expect this binder to serve you for decades to come and if the rings wear out, I can replace them. Because I strive to make the best quality products I can, I guarantee my work for life.
The sizing of these binders is standard, meaning it has a 5/8 inch overhang over the end of papers. It is enough to cover tabbed dividers, but not enough to cover sheet protectors. If you intend to use sheet protectors in your binder, feel free to contact me about it and I will be happy to make it wider to accommodate them properly. Alternatively, if you want the absolute minimum width, I can do that as well.
Customize your binder with a monogram! I am happy to stamp initials, a name, or whatever your heart desires. Monograms are 1/2 inch tall, ALL CAPS, up to 14 characters and placed in the bottom right corner on the front cover. I can also have a stamp made of your logo. If you're interested, contact me for details. (Please note that monogrammed items cannot be returned.)

I can stamp your name, initials or whatever you like on most of my products.
Monograms are 1/2 inch tall letters, all caps. Using my heat stamping machine, monograms stamp cleanly and beautifully. See an example in the color swatches photo on most listings in my shop.
**Please note that all sales are final for monogrammed products.
Properly cared for, my products will last a lifetime. We have seen leather items from the civil war come in the shop that are still in excellent condition because they were cared for properly!
Over time, leather dries out and needs to have oil put back into it. I use Fiebing's Prime Neatsfoot Oil Compound on my veg-tanned leather products, and I highly recommend it. This is a heavy oil designed specifically for veg-tanned leathers. Apply it with a rag once a year or so. Whatever doesn't soak in, in a minute or so, wipe off. It is that easy.
**Never use Mink Oil on my products because it will rot the nylon thread and is NOT covered in my lifetime guarantee against defects.
Water will not damage my products. While the finish I use is water resistant, you may see some water spotting, especially on light colors. The lining I use is a waterproof rip-stop nylon which will keep out the rain so you need not worry about your electronics and other items getting wet when you get caught out in the rain. Because, lets face it, that happens to all of us!
Water will cause leather to dry out more quickly, so if your bag gets wet frequently, you should put oil back into it more often. (see Leather Care above)
My goal is to make the absolute best quality products possible; therefore, I guarantee everything I make for life against defects in materials and workmanship. With this in mind, I use only the finest quality leather, nylon thread, rip-stop nylon lining, solid brass and stainless steel hardware available. If something goes wrong and it is my fault, I will happily fix it for free!
I use a variety of the finest quality leathers available, sourced both here in the US and around the world from some of the best tanneries in the business.
The chrome-tanned cowhide I use is dyed and finished at the tannery for a clean consistent look with a semi-gloss finish.
The veg-tanned calfskin I use is dyed and finished here in my shop, highlighting the natural character of these hides much like staining wood does. Trying to balance perfection against wastefulness, I minimize imperfections as much as possible, placing them in less noticeable locations on my products only when it is absolutely necessary.
If you are not happy for any reason, feel free to contact me and I will do my best to make it right.
I am happy to pay for return postage (within the USA) so that you may shop risk-free.
Monogrammed items and custom or cut-to-order items (such as custom phone cases and belts) may be exchanged only, no refunds.
